In 2021, Arts Alliance Illinois launched a statewide engagement effort to co-create a policy agenda rooted in the realities of our state’s creative sector. That agenda laid a strong foundation—and now, we’re ready to build on it together.
As part of our vision to move creative workers from striving to thriving, we’re updating our policy agenda to further center the lived experiences, challenges, and opportunities facing creative workers today. And we need your voice to guide this next chapter.
We hosted a series of focus groups to listen deeply to our community, with a final general listening session taking place on June 18. The focus group and survey are your chances to shape the process from the start—adding your perspective, lifting up what matters most, and helping us chart a course for action.
Once the survey closes and focus groups conclude, we’ll analyze all input and share back what we heard. Then, we’ll invite the community to help prioritize the themes that emerge so that our advocacy efforts reflect the collective voice and vision of Illinois’ creative workforce.
We believe policies are stronger when they’re shaped by the people they affect. Your responses will be kept confidential and shared only in an aggregated, de-identified form—unless you tell us otherwise.
By completing this survey, you'll have the opportunity to register for our final focus group taking place virtually on Wednesday, June 18, from 11am-12:30pm.
